Baseball Recap: Happy Camp Indians vs. Loyalton Grizzlies
Happy Camp extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They lost 12-2 to the Loyalton Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.
As for Loyalton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games.
For Loyalton's part, Thor Corcoran made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Corcoran has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
