Basketball Recap: Center Comes Up Short

Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Jefferson Bulldogs and fell 85-45. While losing is never fun, the Roughriders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1230th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 180th).

Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center will head out to take on Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bullard at 6:15 p.m. on the 13th.
