Saugus and Ganesha squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Saugus had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Giants by a score of 1-0. The Centurions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kaleb Haag was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, Saugus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zackery Seeley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Saugus' defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Ganesha, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

Saugus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ganesha, they will challenge South at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Giants 1, the Spartans 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
