Softball Recap: South River Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

South River barely beat Southern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. South River's pitchers stepped up to hand Southern a 12-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Seahawks, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

South River's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, South River and Southern will both be playing Meade the next time they take the field. South River will host Meade at 4:45 p.m. on Monday, while Southern will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
