Volleyball Game Preview: Mason County Central Spartans vs. Manistee Mariners + How To Watch

The Mason County Central Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Manistee Mariners at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mason County Central has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Manistee will come in with five straight wins.

On Tuesday, Mason County Central didn't have quite enough to beat Big Rapids and fell 2-1. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cardinals 25-15 in the first set.

Mason County Central came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Manistee hadn't done well against Frankfort recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mariners came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 3-2.

Manistee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 27-29, 28-26, 25-22, 15-11.

Mason County Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-18-3. As for Manistee, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.

Mason County Central couldn't quite get it done against Manistee in their previous meeting on Tuesday as they fell 2-0. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
