Basketball Recap: Addie Mason and Mayce Jarvis Secure Win for Shoshoni

While Shoshoni didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past the Riverside Rebels with a 47-42 victory on Saturday. For the Wranglers, this counts as revenge for the 42-36 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Leading Shoshoni to victory were Mayce Jarvis and Addie Mason. Jarvis went 5 of 8 on her way to 16 points and three steals, while Mason went 6 of 8 on her way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Harris, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Shoshoni was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for Shoshoni and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-2.

Shoshoni will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sundance at 1:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Riverside will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against St. Stephens at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
