Boiling Springs came out on top against Big Spring on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Bubblers took their match against the Bulldogs 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

Timmy George was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Boiling Springs' win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Big Spring, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Boiling Springs didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against James Buchanan on the 8th. As for Big Spring, they will host Susquenita at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blackhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
