Volleyball Game Preview: Ridge Community Bolts vs. Winter Haven Blue Devils + Official Tickets

Ridge Community hasn't had much luck against Winter Haven recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bolts will head out to square off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ridge Community is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Haines City by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ridge Community was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Winter Haven came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Winter Haven took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-15.

Ridge Community better focus on containing Camila DeJesus and Evvie King as the pair were huge in Winter Haven's win. DeJesus had 14 digs and three aces, while King had nine digs. DeJesus is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Ridge Community now has a winning record of 12-11-1. As for Winter Haven, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Ridge Community suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Winter Haven in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Bolts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
