There's no place like home for Perrydale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-9 margin over the Kennedy Trojans on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
Perrydale got a massive performance out of Sophie Jackson, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Brooklynn Barcroft also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Perrydale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .541. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .400 that Kennedy posted.
Perrydale's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Kennedy, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
