Basketball Recap: Briarwood Academy Takes a Loss

Briarwood Academy lost against Brentwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Briarwood Academy Buccaneers took a 49-32 bruising from the Brentwood War Eagles. The game marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Bailey Barron continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brentwood, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. What's more, Barron also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camryn Hancock, who posted three points and five steals.

Briarwood Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Brentwood, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Briarwood Academy will welcome Westminster Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westminster Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Briarwood Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brentwood, they will head out to square off against Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
