Kewanee has gone 8-2 against Mendota recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Boilermakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Kewanee will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Kewanee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hall a 14-0 shutout on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Boilermakers with their most commanding win of the season.

Kalleigh Gale tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025.
At the plate, Macee Pickering was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Yepsen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Kewanee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Mendota's offense. They came up short against Riverdale on Saturday, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Mendota saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Perryman, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Kewanee's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mendota, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kewanee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Mendota struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Kewanee was able to grind out a solid win over Mendota in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 9-4. Will the Boilermakers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
