Fairfield Prep lost to Hamden back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Jesuits walked away with a 5-1 win over the Green Dragons.

Andrew Wong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Vinny Lombardo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ryan Ventrelle, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fairfield Prep's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Hamden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield Prep will face off against Sheehan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hamden, they will welcome East Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
