Preview: Pana Panthers vs. St. Anthony Bulldogs
The Pana Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Anthony Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Pana had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 45-25 margin over Litchfield. The win was just what Pana needed coming off of a 65-26 defeat in their prior contest.
Pana found their leader in underclassman Joey Laker, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kooper Dressen, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, St. Anthony put the finishing touches on their 15th blowout victory of the season on Monday. They really took it to Farina South Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-40 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but St. Anthony sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Pana's win bumped their record up to 5-21. As for St. Anthony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
