Basketball Recap: Hickory Skates Past Hubbard with Ease

Hickory put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Hubbard Eagles 60-33. Fans of the Hornets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Despite the loss, Hubbard had strong showings from Kyle Barr, who posted nine points, and Braydon Songer, who put up nine points. Barr is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Hickory's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0. As for Hubbard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hickory will venture away from home to take on Meadville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hubbard, they will head out on the road to square off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
