Basketball Recap: Wellington Eagles vs. Timnath Cubs
Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 42nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 77-43 loss at the hands of the Timnath Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 106-34 back in January.

Despite the loss, Wellington still got an impressive performance from Luke Moore, who went 9-for-13 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in points. Branson Zieger also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
Timnath's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Davis Walter led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Max Roselle, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Timnath, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Wellington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Timnath, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-50 win against Berthoud on the 27th.
