Basketball Game Preview: Sky View Bobcats vs. West Field Longhorns

The Sky View Bobcats will head out to face off against the West Field Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Sky View beat Bear River 61-50.

West Field's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Ridgeline on Saturday. West Field came out on top against Bear River by a score of 62-53. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Longhorns as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

West Field's win came from a few key players Sky View will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaxon Slaugh, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Fowers, who went 7 of 10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

West Field's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Sky View, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Sky View beat West Field 57-49 in their previous matchup on January 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sky View since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
