Fargo North faced Thompson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans came out on top against the Tommies by a score of 6-1. The win was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Fargo North's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Thompson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Fargo North has already played their next game (against Mandan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Thompson, they will welcome Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
