Basketball Recap: Riverton Falls Despite Big Games from Britnee Walker and Danae Anderson

Riverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 48-32 fall against the Midwest Central/Delavan Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 50-22 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Riverton had strong showings from Danae Anderson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds, and Britnee Walker, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points and six boards.

Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Riverton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-41 loss against Central A & M on the 22nd. As for Midwest Central/Delavan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-30 defeat against Tremont on the 22nd.
