Softball Recap: Jefferson Blue Jays vs. Kelly Hawks
Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Kelly Hawks, falling 15-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Jays of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2018.
Cecelia Ott made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Jefferson now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Kelly, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Jefferson will take on Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kelly, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-5 victory vs. Twin Rivers on the 24th.
