Softball Recap: Delavan Falls Short of Liberty in the Playoffs

Delavan and Liberty squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Delavan had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3.

Lainey Klokkenga spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Addi Fisher made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Delavan's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Delavan nor Liberty have any future games scheduled.
