Baseball Recap: Celina Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Celina's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Coldwater Cavaliers on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost five in a row.

Celina saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodee Schulte-Arnold, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Celina's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Coldwater, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Celina will square off against Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coldwater, they will head out on the road to square off against Versailles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 2.5, the Tigers 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
