Volleyball Recap: Redwood's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Redwood won the last time they faced Kingsburg, and Journey Vela did her part to make sure it happened again. The Rangers came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Vela, who had 27 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Redwood walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 20-25, 25-20.

Redwood's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Kingsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redwood will take on San Luis Obispo at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kingsburg, they will challenge Mt. Whitney at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
