Baseball Recap: Central Victorious

While Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-3), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Port Byron Panthers on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Monday.

The win made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 6-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Port Byron, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

Coming up, Central will host Weedsport at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port Byron, they will venture away from home to square off against Tully at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
