Baseball Recap: Lima Senior Has No Trouble Against Rogers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bowsher, Lima Senior was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Rogers Rams with a sharp 12-2 win. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Lima Senior got a massive performance out of Riley Miller, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave Miller a new career-high. Brady Wright was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lima Senior kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.2.

Lima Senior's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Rogers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Lima Senior will challenge Wapakoneta at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redskins will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rogers, they will square off against Mansfield Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
