Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Wizards vs. Golden Demons

The Windsor Wizards will challenge the Golden Demons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Windsor is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Pueblo County. Winning may never get old, but the Wizards sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Mason Jordan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Ethan Fillinger was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Teegan Cole was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Golden came tearing into Friday's game with 18 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Falcons 13-6. Golden's win was all the more impressive since the Falcons were averaging only 3.2 runs allowed on the season.

Golden also got a great performance from Taden Svendsen as he pitched six innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luca Casali, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Caycen Mead, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Golden's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Windsor, their win bumped their record up to 21-6.
