The Littlestown Thunderbolts will face off against the York Catholic Fighting Irish at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Littlestown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Littlestown didn't have quite enough to beat Biglerville and fell 7-6.

Littlestown saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Olvera, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Reese Rucker was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Olvera wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Littlestown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, York Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to Fairfield.

Littlestown's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for York Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Littlestown took their victory against York Catholic in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 19-0. Does Littlestown have another victory up their sleeve, or will York Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
