Soccer Recap: Jefferson Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Jefferson's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Seguin Matadors a 3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 back in January.

Alex Hernandez and Hailemariam Elias scored all three of Jefferson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Seguin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Seguin will both be playing Edison the next time they take the pitch. Jefferson will host Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Seguin will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on March 4th.
