Baseball Recap: Nanih Waiya's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Nanih Waiya put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Louisville Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-1 two weeks ago.

Caden McDaniel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he also posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Caysen Dewberry was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Davis, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Nanih Waiya was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Nanih Waiya's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Louisville, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Nanih Waiya will have a chance to go back-to-back against Louisville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
