Basketball Recap: Nebraska Christian Eagles vs. Elba Bluejays
In what's become a running theme this season, the Nebraska Christian Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 61-20 victory over Elba. With Nebraska Christian ahead 31-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Despite the loss, Elba saw an underclassman step up: JarahLynn Morrow scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Elba struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Nebraska Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Elba, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nebraska Christian will take on the Tigers at TBD on Friday. As for Elba, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
