Basketball Recap: Lake George Comes Up Short

Lake George was the 105-53 winner over Cambridge when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Lake George Lakers lost 65-43 to the Cambridge N/A on Saturday. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lake George still got an impressive performance from Dan Weaver, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Weaver a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricky Stroup, who posted eight points.

Lake George's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cambridge, they moved to 1-4 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake George will take on Saranac Lake at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cambridge, they will square off against Granville at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
