Encinal's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Berkeley Yellowjackets 5-4. The Jets haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Cameron Tran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Tamyrah Jamison was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jazzy Alcantar, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.
