Volleyball Recap: Hun Raiders vs. Rutgers Prep Argonauts
The Hun Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Rutgers Prep Argonauts on Thursday.
Hun was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (71-63), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-23, 25-23.
Rutgers Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Laela Domanski, who had 15 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Panacek, who had 20 assists and eight digs.
Hun has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Rutgers Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.
Coming up, Hun will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mercersburg Academy at 2:00 p.m. As for Rutgers Prep, they will head out to challenge Hillsborough at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
