Patel's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans by a score of 44-35. The Trailblazers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Patel can attribute much of their success to Neveah Davis, who went 9 for 22 on her way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Krapohl, who posted five points.

Despite the loss, Winthrop College Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from JoLesa Birkhead, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Birkhead a new career-high. Ramya Atienza was another key player, putting up two points along with eight boards and three steals.

With the win, Patel broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Patel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-26 defeat against Bell Creek Academy on the 6th. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-24 loss against North Tampa Christian Academy on the 9th.
