Baseball Recap: Naperville North Takes a Loss

Naperville North easily dispatched Plainfield South last Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Huskies fell just short of the Oswego East Wolves by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Huskies have suffered against the Wolves since April 1, 2015.

Naperville North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Steele, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Sam Steele, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Naperville North's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Oswego East, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Naperville North will head out to challenge Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oswego East, they will venture away from home to take on Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
