Volleyball Recap: Hunter Wolverines vs. West Jordan Jaguars
Hunter was the 3-0 winner over West Jordan when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines came up short against the Jaguars on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Wolverines seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.
Hunter took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-20.
Keaton Miller paced Hunter's offense, picking up eight kills. Miller got some help from Ander Davidson and his 11 assists. Legrand Tahi controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Marshall Handy was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last six contests.
Hunter now has a losing record of 9-10. As for West Jordan, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Hunter has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Cyprus on the 24th. As for West Jordan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Taylorsville on the 24th.
