Basketball Game Preview: Lake Region Thunder vs. Trinity Christian Academy Eagles

The Lake Region Thunder will take on the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles in a tournament on Saturday. Lake Region has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-42, which was the final score in Lake Region's tilt against Lakeland on Thursday. The Thunder have struggled against the Dreadnaughts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy posted their biggest victory since November 21, 2024 on Friday. They blew past University 89-64. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Lake Region's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Lake Region took their victory against Trinity Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 63-40. Will Lake Region repeat their success, or does Trinity Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
