Basketball Recap: Owyhee Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

Owyhee extended their road winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Riley Beck. The Owyhee Storm put the hurt on the Ridgevue Warhawks with a sharp 55-29 win on Thursday thanks in part to Beck, who went 7 for 10 on her way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. That's the most blocks she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Josie Davis was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.

Owyhee's victory bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Ridgevue, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Owyhee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-44 win against Capital on the 25th. As for Ridgevue, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-46 loss against Mountain View on the 24th.
