With a playoff win on the line, Albany rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Minnewaska Area Lakers by a score of 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on 17 straight.
The win didn't come easy: Minnewaska Area scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 25-19.
Brynn Panek paced Albany's offense, picking up 17 kills. Panek got some help from Lillian VanHeel and her 41 assists. Kiley Lange controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Albany's victory bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Minnewaska Area, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 28-1.
