Baseball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milton Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Panthers since April 22, 2021.

Crestview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zander Keith, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave Keith a new career-high in hits (two). Cooper Cantrell also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Crestview's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Milton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Crestview will take on Choctawhatchee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Milton, they will face off against Pine Forest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
