Basketball Recap: Spencer Center Takes a Loss

Spencer Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Gamble Montessori Gators, falling 79-44. While losing is never fun, Spencer Center can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 763rd, while Gamble Montessori is ranked 347th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gamble Montessori to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerone Behanan, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was James Horton, who posted nine points along with eight assists and six boards.

Spencer Center's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gamble Montessori, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Spencer Center has already played their next game, a 68-49 defeat against Shroder Paideia Academy on the 20th. As for Gamble Montessori, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-24 loss against Cincinnati College Prep Academy on the 18th.
