Softball Recap: Lyndon Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Scholars Guild Academy

Lyndon Academy faced Scholars Guild Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Lyndon Academy came up short against Scholars Guild Academy, falling 16-5. The Terriers have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Gyselle Marquez and Kamryn Querry stepped up to the plate in a big way. Marquez scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Querry scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Marquez's first of the season. Sarah Lincoln was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Lyndon Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Scholars Guild Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.
