Washington hadn't beaten Bayou Academy on the road since October 5, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Generals put the hurt on the Colts with a sharp 34-13 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Generals have posted against the Colts since September 6, 2019.

Max Morgan went supernova, rushing for 219 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Washington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 379 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 190 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Washington's defense and their four sacks. William (JR) Lewis was especially locked on to Bayou Academy's QB and sacked him twice. Lewis is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Although Bayou Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Peyton Reboot and William Jefferys.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Bayou Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Washington will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Bayou Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Northpoint Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
