Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Carmel vs. Mission Hills

Mt. Carmel hasn't had much luck against Mission Hills recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Mission Hills Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Carmel's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Mt. Carmel didn't have quite enough to beat El Camino and fell 2-1.

Mt. Carmel's goal came courtesy of Juan Renteria-Sepulveda, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Mission Hills sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Rancho Buena Vista on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Mission Hills' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Mt. Carmel came up short against Mission Hills in their previous meeting back in January, falling 3-1. Can Mt. Carmel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
