Football Recap: Boron Find Success + How To Watch

Kern Valley came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Boron, but Andrew Gartica wouldn't allow it. The Bobcats came out on top against the Broncs by a score of 46-38 on Friday thanks in part to Gartica, who picked up 208 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only five carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles and defending one pass.

Another player making a difference was Jalen York, who threw for 347 yards while completing 80.8% of his passes. Boron is 2-1 when York posts 250 or more passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

The win got Boron back to even at 3-3. As for Kern Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Gartica and Hunter Dailey. Meanwhile, Kern Valley will face off against rival Desert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
