Softball Game Preview: University Charter Trail Blazers vs. Sweet Water Bulldogs

The University Charter Trail Blazers will head out to face off against the Sweet Water Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Hale County hit University Charter with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trail Blazers took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Trail Blazers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sweet Water). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Marengo a 23-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Sweet Water's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for University Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

University Charter might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Sweet Water when the teams last played back in March. Can the Trail Blazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
