Basketball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 54-29 to the George Stevens Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-48 back in December of 2024.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for George Stevens Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland will square off against Jonesport-Beals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Stevens Academy, they will challenge Bucksport at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
