It was a good run, but Raymore-Peculiar unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belton Pirates. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Raymore-Peculiar started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Ashlynn Wilkowski paced Raymore-Peculiar's offense, picking up 13 kills. Wilkowski got some help from Bryleigh Martin and her 16 assists. Finally, Grace Schwartz kept Raymore-Peculiar's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Raymore-Peculiar's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Belton, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-9.

Raymore-Peculiar has already played their next matchup (against Blue Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Belton, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Chrisman on the 16th.
