Basketball Game Preview: Wheaton Academy Warriors vs. Glenbard East Rams

The Wheaton Academy Warriors will head out to face off against the Glenbard East Rams at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wheaton Academy comes in on four and Glenbard East on seven.

On Friday, everything went Wheaton Academy's way against St. Edward as Wheaton Academy made off with a 74-51 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Glenbard East earned a 67-59 victory over Riverside-Brookfield on Thursday.

Glenbard East is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Wheaton Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Wheaton Academy strolled past Glenbard East in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 74-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wheaton Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
