Football Recap: Olney Cubs vs. Petrolia Pirates
Olney was the 15-13 winner over Petrolia when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Olney Cubs lost 34-12 to the Petrolia Pirates on Friday. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Olney still got an impressive performance from Jamarcus Collins, who picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Collins got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 70 yards.
Olney's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Petrolia, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Olney will be playing in front of their home fans against Electra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Olney focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for Petrolia, they will challenge Quanah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
