Basketball Game Preview: Wesley Chapel Wildcats vs. Fivay Falcons

Two dominant guards in Ethan Hicks and Dominick Walsh are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will challenge the Fivay Falcons on Friday. One thing working in Wesley Chapel's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

Wesley Chapel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past River Ridge, posting a 76-45 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Royal Knights are ranked 536th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Fivay beat Cypress Creek 59-55 on Wednesday.

Wesley Chapel better keep an eye on Tyshawn James. He was instrumental in Fivay's win, going 6 of 11 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave James a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Antwan Brown, who posted five points along with six assists and six boards.

Wesley Chapel is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Fivay, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
